Here are your employee updates for the week:

FWÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± Payroll Schedule Changes Coming This Summer

FWÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± is transitioning to a semi‑monthly payroll schedule for all district employees this July.

  • Employees who are currently paid monthly will receive their last monthly paycheck on Friday, June 28.
  • Semi-monthly paychecks, which will split monthly pay into two paychecks paid twice monthly, begins in July. The first paycheck will be distributed July 15, and the second on July 31, 2024. View the 2024-2025 Semi-monthly Payroll Calendar for additional details.

District Offices Open On Memorial Day

This is a friendly reminder that Monday is Memorial Day.

Most staff are off Monday, May 27, in observance of the federal holiday. However, district offices are open.

Monday is a regular workday for employees who work 239 and 244-day schedules. Employees who must report to work Monday may submit a local personal leave request for this date.

Cheer On the Rangers At Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± Night Tuesday

Show your Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± pride while cheering on the reigning Major League Baseball World Champions this Tuesday.

Teacher Appreciation Night, Celebrating FWÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± Educators, Staff Tickets on Sale

This game is the first of two games recognizing the district and its employees this season. 

On Friday, August 16, the Texas Rangers organization is celebrating FWÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± teachers and employees at Teacher Appreciation Night. The first pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at Globe Life Field. Purchase your tickets at   and receive a custom Rangers x Teacher Appreciation ball cap while supplies last.

2024 Summer Schedule, Four-Day Work Week Announced

This is a friendly reminder that Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½±’s 2024 summer schedule and four-day work week begins Monday, June 3. Through July 26, FWÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± administrative offices will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and closed on Fridays.

Workday hours

FWÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± employees – with the exception of custodial, Alice Carlson, and Jo Kelly staffs who will adhere to their own work week schedules – are expected to report to work from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday with a 30-minute lunch each day during the summer work schedule. If an hour lunch is desired, the workday must be extended by an additional 30 minutes.

Summer holidays

Please make note of the following summer work week holidays:

Juneteenth (Wednesday, June 19): All district employees are off in observance of the federal holiday. During that week, employees will report to work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and have the day off Wednesday and Friday.

Independence Day (Thursday, July 4): All district employees are off in observance of the federal holiday. Employees will report to work Monday through Wednesday and have the day off Thursday and Friday.

More summer work week details

The district will resume its normal work schedule Monday, July 29. Employees returning for the 2024-25 academic year will work FWÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½±’s normal schedule, per Board-approved calendars. The 2024-25 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± Employee Calendar and Employee Start and End Date schedule is available here.

Save the Date: Business and Finance Academy This August

All district and campus administrative staff (secretaries, data entry clerks, coordinators, office clerks, attendance clerks, specialists): Mark your calendars and don’t miss the annual Business and Finance Academy.

The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 7 at the Teaching and Learning Center, 1050 Bridgewood Drive.

Please look for a registration link that will be sent later this summer from the Business and Finance Department.

Network System Upgrades Slated May 16 - June 13

This is a friendly reminder that Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± network systems are undergoing routine software upgrades on Thursday evenings through June 13. This process ensures optimal performance and provides improvements to district network systems.

Upgrades are scheduled to start after 7 p.m. each Thursday and are expected to conclude prior to midnight.

There should be no service interruptions during these upgrade periods, but be advised an outage may occur for a brief time.
