This Throwback Thursday, we honor the 1969 Kirkpatrick basketball team. Fort Worth Kirkpatrick defeated Klein 63-54 to bring home the 1969 UIL 2A State Championship. Wendell Biggins (19 points) and Alonzo Smith (14 points, 13 rebounds) were named to the All-Tournament Team. Curtis Robinson (13 & 10) and James Myles (13 & 9) also played a big role in the title game. Kirkpatrick eliminated Crane 78-77 in the state semifinal game.
