Quinton “Q” Phillips is a native of Fort Worth born and raised on the eastside of the city in the Historic Stop Six Community. Quinton has spent over a decade helping to facilitate a cultural diversity and leadership camp for high school students and has now served the Multicultural Alliance for two decades. Quinton was a Juvenile Probation Officer for nearly a decade, and he remained at the forefront of cultural competency for Tarrant County and the Mental Health Connection.

Most recently, the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors elected Phillips Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± to an interim position on the TASB Board, representing TASB Region 11, Position B. fwisd.org/news

Phillips has been a program coordinator with “Da” Village Education Center and served five years as a behavioral interventionist with Lena Pope Home Inc. He also served as a Steering Committee and Advisory Council member for the Paul Laurence Dunbar Young Men’s Leadership Academy for the Fort Worth Independent School District. Currently he serves as a member of the Race Equity Committee aiding in formulating a racial/equity policy for the district and is a member of the Race Equity Task Force for the Early Learning Alliance. Q also served Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± as member of the Citizen’s Oversight Committee (C.O.C.). Quinton is a Board Member for the Minority Leaders and Citizens Council (MLCC) as well as an Alumni of Leadership Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½±. Quinton is a professor in the Criminal Justice Department of Texas Christian University as well as a Trustee on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖ±²¥¿ª½± Board of Education serving District 3.

Phillips is a founding partner of Community Frontline a non-profit organization designed to offer solutions for community issues. Quinton is a graduate of The Illustrious Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and a proud alumnus of Prairie View A&M University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. He is also a graduate of Palmer Theological Seminary at Eastern University where he received a Master’s in Theological Studies. Quinton is married to Diondria, a Doctoral candidate and administrator in Secondary Education, and they have two sons, Quinton II and Austin.
