I was born in Dallas, Texas, but was raised in McAllen, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas – Pan American and subsequently earned my licensure as a Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. My experience ranges from providing therapy to adults to working with children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient treatment settings.
I take pride in providing services to English and Spanish-speaking families. I currently reside in Saginaw with my husband, daughter, and 3 cocker spaniels. My goal when working with students is to empower and aid them in developing critical reasoning skills, healthy coping skills, and effective communication and problem solving techniques.

Mrs. Loretta Brown
Mrs. Brown has been at Harlean Beal Elementary for the past 8 years serving families with children under the age of 5. This will be her second year as a Family Engagement Specialist, supporting and serving the families at Harlean Beal . As a Family Engagement Specialist, she partners with campus administrators and teams to engage families and communities in creating events and activities designed to elevate attendance and empower family and school partnerships. She assists in building relationships to support student achievement, family well-being, and the continuous learning and development of students. Her goal is to increase family involvement and support families with our school, making sure everyone is successful!
