Mr. David Ackall
Coach Ackall attended Texas Tech University and received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. He worked for a Federal Bankruptcy Trustee and the decided to switch careers and head into teaching. After attending UTEP's Alternative Certification Program, his first teaching assignment was in 1998 in El Paso as a 6th Grade Math/Science teacher. The following year he moved to Fort Worth where he taught 3rd grade at Greenbriar Elementary. The next year, he moved into the P.E. teacher role, where he has faithfully taught Greenbriar students for over 20 years. In 2008, he received a Master’s in Educational Administration from Tarleton St. University.
Coach Ackall loves being a teacher of Physical Education and seeing children succeed. Those smiling faces makes each day special, especially when he has students who return to Greenbriar with their own children. Coach Ackall loves football, basketball, and baseball. He even works as a HS baseball umpire on occasion. Coach Ackall and his talented wife, a professor at TCU, live in Fort Worth with their teenage son.
