I graduated from Haltom High School, in the top 5% and attended the University of Texas to become the next Indiana Jones. But fate intervened and I became a teacher, through the UTeach Liberal Arts program by completing a B.A. in History and Education courses to become a certified History/Social Studies Teacher. I was a substitute teacher in Austin for 1 ½ years and eventually became a full time teacher at Calhoun HS on the coast. I taught there for 4 years and moved back to DFW to be closer to friends and family. This is my 5th year at WHHS. I am currently the lead content teacher for Social Studies here at WHHS, coach of the Whiz Quiz Team, coach of the UIL Social Studies Team, and Co-Sponsor of the GSA.
