Susan Williamson
My name is Susan Williamson. I am a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University. I am certified in Full Bilingual Education, with endorsements in ESL and Early Childhood. I have taught at H. V. Helbing Elementary for over twenty years. Ironically, I grew up in the Diamond Hill community and graduated from Diamond Hill High School. My philosophy for education is that each child has the seed of great potential growing within them. It is up to us, their parents, teachers, and community, to prepare them for a successful future. I love this community and it has been my greatest privilege to serve the children here at H. V. Helbing.

Sonia Ward
My name is Sonia Ward and I have taught at H.V. Helbing for seven years. Helbing is my first and hopefully I will be here a long time. I am an immigrant that has proudly become an American citizen. My education began in Chihuahua, Mexico with a degree and Accounting, transferring in the US as a Degree in Business Administration. I have completed a second degree at TCC and received certifications in Generalist and Bilingual Education Supplemental-Spanish.
I am married to a wonderful man and have three beautiful children. My youngest is attending Helbing and benefiting from the standards of education we practice. I believe education is the greatest gift children can receive. It provides a path for children to achieve dreams and thrive in life. Educating children requires great effort, dedication and most importantly team work. Teachers, parents and even communities working together is the key to the success of our children.
